Painting in the Falklands

I originally trained in Design at Medway College of Design. I specialised in architecture, although my primary interest now lies in natural history subjects with occasional forays in to portraiture and still life.

My natural history paintings mostly concentrate on British wildlife, though a recent trip to the Falkland Islands is providing plenty of inspiration. I work from life whenever possible, usually sketching in pencil and watercolour and working up sketches in acrylics or oils. My most recent work reflects my increasing interest in wildlife camouflage and repeating patterns in the landscape.

My work has been shown on BBC television.
