Usually I limit the colours I use in a painting, but some species insist that I use almost every colour in the paint box, and so it was with this Carolina Wood Duck painting.

I'm generally quite drawn to subtle earth colours, so this Carolina drake gave me an enjoyable chance to exult in colour.
